The Company and Brief History
Established in 2004, Norfolk based Phoenix Group is a multi faceted organisation with its roots in
financial services. It has adopted a consistently successful dual strategy for growth, both
organically and by acquisition, coupled with an unflinching desire to offer the best advice to
private and corporate clients in all areas of personal and business financial services.
To date, Phoenix has acquired client banks from a number of companies and these have been incorporated
into five Appointed Representative (AR) financial services firms. Phoenix now has 40 staff administering
the financial affairs for clients of these group companies with further staff expansion likely in 2010
to cope with expected new business.
The group also includes three other important arms:-
- London based, corporate benefits firm, MacRobins plc, acquired in 2006, which provides specialist
independent financial advice to corporations and senior professionals.
- Solent Mortgage Services Ltd (SMS), a specialist platform and conduit dedicated to providing
professional adviser only access to ‘best of breed’ financial products such as mortgage and loans
as well as other financial services, is based in Gosport, Hampshire. It has pioneered the use of
sophisticated online tools so that all products and services, along with subsequent transaction
information and audit trail, from initial product sourcing through to completion, are available 24/7
through its award winning extranet, The Porthole.
Non financial services enterprise, Phoenix Music International Ltd, specialises in the ownership and acquisition of
music rights, where recordings are made available commercially for use through radio, TV, film and digital download.
